Delete your Meetopio account

Last updated: 31 July 2026

App: Meetopio  ·  Developer: Roving Rock
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app, in about a minute. It happens immediately — nothing is queued and nobody reviews it. If you can't sign in, there is an email route below.

1. Delete it yourself, in the app

This is the fastest route and it needs no contact with us.

In the Meetopio Android app

  1. Open Meetopio and sign in.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Tap Delete my account.
  4. Read the summary. It shows your real numbers — how many leads, captures and events will stay with your workspace — rather than generic wording.
  5. Type your account email address to confirm.
  6. Tap Permanently delete my account.

On the web app

  1. Sign in at app.meetopio.com.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Scroll to Delete account and click Delete my account…
  4. Read the summary of what is removed and what stays.
  5. Type your account email address to confirm.
  6. Click Permanently delete my account.

2. If you can't sign in

Email privacy@meetopio.com from the address on the account and tell us you want your Meetopio account deleted. We will verify that the request is genuinely yours before deleting anything — without that check, anyone could erase anyone else's account by naming their address.

We respond within 30 days, and in practice much sooner. This is the same address used for every other privacy request in our privacy policy.

3. What is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following are removed permanently:

  • Your sign-in. The login record itself is deleted. You will not be able to sign in again, and the account cannot be restored.
  • Your profile: your full name, email address, job title and phone number.
  • Your profile photo, including the image file itself in storage — not just the reference to it.
  • Your digital business card. The card's public link stops working immediately.
  • Your membership of every workspace you belong to.

4. What is kept, and why

The work your team captured at an event belongs to the organisation, not to you personally. Deleting a person must not delete their company's pipeline — so it doesn't.

  • Leads, captures and recordings, transcripts, events, follow-up drafts, uploaded content and knowledge documents stay with the workspace.
  • Your name comes off them. Every link between you and that data — who captured it, who owned it, who reviewed it — is set to empty, so the records remain but are no longer attributed to you.

If you want that data gone as well, ask an owner of the workspace. An owner can delete the entire workspace, which removes the organisation's records and its stored files — recordings, uploaded content and exports included.

The one record we keep about the deletion itself

We write a deletion record so we can show that a deletion request was carried out. It holds the fact that an account was deleted, when it happened, the account identifier and the email address of the deleted account. It is stored deliberately outside any workspace, so that deleting a workspace cannot erase the evidence that a person's deletion was honoured.

We do not currently apply an automatic expiry to this record. We would rather say that plainly than publish a retention period nothing in our system actually enforces.

5. If you are the only owner of a workspace

Deletion is refused, and the app tells you which workspace is blocking it. Transfer ownership to another member, or delete the workspace, and then delete your account. This exists so that a company's data is never left stranded with no one able to reach it.

6. Backups

Deleted data may persist briefly in routine system backups, which are overwritten on their normal rotation shortly afterwards. It is not restored to the live service.
