Meetopio — Cookie & Local Storage Notice
This notice explains what we store on your device when you use the Meetopio website and web app.
Essential cookies and local storage (always active)
We use these to sign you in, keep your session secure, and remember essential preferences. The web app uses a secure authentication cookie; the mobile app stores your session and offline capture queue locally so captures survive a lost connection. Without these the Service cannot function, so they do not require consent under GDPR/PDPA.
Analytics cookies (with your consent)
When you opt in, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use meetopio.com — which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and where traffic comes from. Google Analytics places cookies on your device and collects your IP address (anonymised where required by law), pages visited, referral source, browser type and similar browsing data. This data helps us improve the site and understand which content is useful.
Google Analytics data is processed by Google under its own terms. We do not merge it with your Meetopio account data, and we do not use it to build individual advertising profiles.
Marketing and advertising cookies (with your consent)
When you opt in, we use advertising-measurement tools to understand whether our ads are working and to show relevant content to people who have visited our site. The tools we currently use are:
- Meta Pixel — measures visits from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ads and may be used to show Meetopio ads to people who have visited our site.
- Google Ads conversion tag — measures visits and sign-ups from Google Search and Display ads.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag — measures visits from LinkedIn ads and may be used to show Meetopio ads to people who have visited our site.
These tools place cookies on your device and may share browsing data (pages visited, referral source, IP address) with the respective platform. They operate only on the website, not in the Meetopio mobile app, and only when you have given consent through the cookie banner.
We do not sell personal data. These tools are used solely to measure and improve our own advertising.
What the mobile app does NOT use
The Meetopio mobile app (Android and iOS) contains no advertising cookies, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics or tracking. The cookies and measurement tools described above apply only to the website.
Your choices
When you first visit, a consent banner lets you choose which optional cookies you allow. Essential cookies are always active because the site cannot function without them. Analytics and marketing cookies are off by default and activate only if you opt in.
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.
If this changes
If we add new analytics or advertising tools, we will update this notice, and they will be gated behind the same consent categories — off by default until you choose.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but blocking the strictly-necessary ones will prevent you from signing in.
